I’m an environmentalist, so this tattoo stands for a lot of things about the environmental movement.

To me, this is definitely in the greater scope/scheme of things, and does not apply to the individual. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good, and we can’t just keep thinking of ourselves. With so many people, someone’s going to find something unjust, we just have to deal with it.
The balloon shape represents how I feel about the environmental movement.
- People make up the inside of this balloon, and without support, the balloon is nothing
- It also addresses the over population issue, that too many, the balloon can pop
- The thin membrane of the balloon also shows the sensitivity of the earth’s ecosystem
- Balloons flow up, representing an optimism that needs to be remembered in such a pessimistic field of study.
